Later this morning I will be heading off to London town to spend 5 days at the Knitting & Stitching show at Alexandra Palace. If you’ve never been it really is an amazing event, my two pieces of essential advice if you’re going…….
- wear: comfy shoes and layers
- take: food!
There are three halls full of stalls selling everything you could ever need and more for sewing knitting and creating in general, exhibitions, workshops and fashion shows.
I’m playing with the big boys this year in the Great Hall with MIY Collection on stand O19. I’ll have my sewing patterns, tools, accessories and an advance copy of my book. Here are some new things I’m launching at the show……
A new sewing pattern for the show: MIY Cosy Cowl – quick, easy and perfect for this time of year when you’re not quite ready for your winter coat! Available to buy online when I’m back from the show.
Teeny tiny scissor earrings! A treat for you or the perfect gift for your stitchy friend. Also available to buy online when I’m back from the show.
Look forward to seeing you there!
Well, it was exhausting, but good fun!!
I had a brilliant 2 days at Olympia touting my wares, chatting to lots of lovely stitchers and convincing them to have a go at sewing knitted fabrics.
Here’s me, my stand and my wares:
I sold out of all but one pattern and came away with lots of ideas and exciting possibilities to follow up. Fresh new stocks of patterns being printed as we speak!
I’m having a little trip up to the “Sewing for Pleasure” show at the NEC this Saturday, just to have a little nose…..
I will be having a stand (number E13) with MIY Collection at the Spring Knitting and Stitching Show at Kensington Olympia on Friday the 15th and Saturday the 16th March.
I love how the theme for this year’s show is “Make It Yourself” MIY, how apt!!
Tickets are £12.50 if booked in advance or £15 on the door and the show will be open each day from 10am-5.30pm. Click on the image above to go straight to the Twisted Thread (organisers) website and information on the location and how to get there.
I will have my patterns and tools for sale and I’ve got a few other things up my sleeve…….
