It was a busy hive of activity at MIY Workshop yesterday with the first “Sewing with Knits” workshop of 2012. Here’s some of my students’ impressive creations:
Clair in her very “kimono-ish” cardi, thanks to a great choice of fabric.
Lisa in her frock that I can see getting lots of wear in a really nice heavy denim effect jersey from Ditto.
Katie in her reversible cowl – perfect for chilly spring weather.
In addition to these finished pieces we also had another frock with added pleats and tucks which needed a few last tweaks and another cardi with perfectly matched stripes which was very nearly finished. I’m looking forward to seeing photos of both of them!
It’s been a busy old weekend at MIY Workshop as Julia Hincks also ran her first workshop there on Saturday – “Learn to Crochet”, which successfully sent off 5 students to do lots of crochet creating, so we’ll be looking forward to more crochet action in the future.
Next weekend it’s machine embroidery…
