It was a beautiful Spring day outside today and a hive of busy activity in MIY Workshop.
Heads down in busy concentration. Just how I like my students!
This was the first Skirt Making Workshop of 2012 and what a bumper crop!
I love how, even given the same pattern, students can come up with such different garments through their choice of fabric, skirt shape, addition of lining and decorative stitching.
I think my students covered all the options here – from printed cotton summer skirts, to gorgeous tangerine cord lined with lime green, fabulous leopard print and very neatly topstitched denim. What season or event wouldn’t be suited to one of these fantastic creations?!
Here’s what some of today’s students thought of the workshop:
“The whole day was great, new skills learnt, great teacher, new skirt ready for holiday in one class and lovely people!”
What did you enjoy most?
“Everything!”
“The whole day.”
Well I can’t ask for much more than that can I. Thanks for a lovely Sunday ladies.
